Welcome to the house of funJune 28th, 2006Right, now that we are just about settled and the housewarming parties have been had I can make a bit more of a detailed update. So we have moved into our two houses and so too practically have our neighbours. We only have one bad neighbour and he’s the one who keeps calling the police. I have only had my name taken once because we take turns answering the door to the shades and they cannot come into the house. (more…) |
First day or two photos.June 12th, 2006OK, I sprained my wrist so this will be short. Here are a couple fo photos so Sarah knows who I’m talking about. California, California, Here we are.June 6th, 2006OK, now that I am here and a little more settled I can update this a bit. I’ll just give a brief rundown of what has happened so far. First of all, the entire journey was 25 hours in total. Leaving Sarah was horrible and I really didn’t want to go. |
San Diego :)June 6th, 2006To keep my baby happy, this is just a quick note to say that I arrived here safe and sound, met a large group of people who I will hopefully be living with. Accommodation is VERY hard to find. Place is AMAZING, it is exactly like you see on TV. Lots of surfers and were staying in a surfer town. I have loads of photos I will update this site when I have more time. I just found out the library has free wireless internet, so Im sorted. Tomorrow or the next day Ill have a full update. Miss Sarah and Buttons and Jennifer and my family and friends very much. Jen, if I call, please PLEASE answer.I need to wish you good luck. Talk soon. |
Hamburg WhamburgMay 11th, 2006Just a quick post to update myself really and post some photos from hamburg and test a few new features of the site. (Especially the “See Dave feature”. Read more for details Had a deadly time, learned how to get up early, learned that I dont “really” like techno and learned that I am almost fluent in German. Thank fuck. Redlight districts, gits in git masks getting off on my innocent shock, talking to strangers, learning a lesson, learning what hitler doesn’t look like and of course bottling out of a dance off. Overall, I think I’m going to like living in Germany. (more…) |
J1 Summer, here I come.April 1st, 2006![]() OK, I’m a little late, but I can now confirm that my J1 Visa has been approved, my passport has been stamped, and my flights have been booked! Now, I can let myself get excited. I fly out on the 31st of May at 6:30 in the morning. Lovely. Hit London for 6 hours, then to Washington. Stay there for another 4 hours and then on to San Diego for some …ehhh, sun, sea, sand and some desperate looking for a house and a job. I have to say, I cannot wait. Sarah is coming over to see me in July, so that makes the deal even sweeter. Now I just have to whore myself out to a thousand REALLY fat chicks to pay for the trip. |
